We had a great gathering this morning at Kathleen's. The snow was falling like crazy outside, but it was warm and cozy inside. Kathleen is already an experienced knitter and is working on a new and colorful scarf. She fed us her amazing Stollen and as if that weren't enough, followed it with a delicious Egg Strata. Elizabeth continued processing, which is looking remarkably like a scarf. Cathy continued work on her throw for Maddie. (See post below.) Carol finished sewing the collar on her "new" sweater. (See another post below.) Patty worked on her beautiful SpeedStix project. Sue tried to teach Susan the Norwegian cast-on and they talked about the Russian bind-off, a method introduced to the group by Carol. Mary showed off her new interchangeable needle kit and started working on her shopping bag using Priscilla's seed stitch variation. Priscilla worked on a pair of magic loop socks. A productive and fun morning! Next week we're at Patty's! P.S. If anyone has pictures of knitted gifts from the holidays . . . send them my way and I'll post them!

Susan is involved in a project through her Temple in which she is going to a local shelter to teach a group of women to knit. Some of us donated yarn to her for the project, and Patty gave her a super special donation -- knitting needles that her daughter Katie and friend Lindsay made by hand!
