Friday, March 20, 2009

I missed all of you last Friday but thanks to Elizabeth's pictures now I feel like I was there! It appears that The Last Drop was open for business and everyone looks comfortable and productive (and also, I assume, caffeinated)! I will insert Elizabeth's comments for the photos and say that I'll see you all this Friday. Knitting's at my house this week!

A cell phone cosy, which Carol put together (it also turned out to be her birthday, for which we managed an impromptu song).

Priscilla at work on the scarf, getting lovely and llllloooooong.

And finally, the very cheerful Mary, who brought two ‘inherited’ sweaters along that needed updating.

Carol's Mug Cozy

Carol writes that this pattern was interesting, because it's all fives and sixes, instead of all even numbers. The link to the pattern is here. The cozy has a slit where the handle goes through and a flap that goes through the handle (covering the slit) and tucks inside the cozy. The overall effect is that the knitting goes all the way around the mug.
