Carol's "New" Sweater

Carol took an old sweater and added the cuffs and collar, to make it fresh and new! Here's what she has to say about it: "I used a thick chenille type of yarn (think wooly caterpillers), but it would be nice in fun fur, too. The collar was knit separately (I chose garter stitch) and whipstitched on to the neck of the sweater. I used the sweater neckline as my length guide but if you wanted to make a detached collar (that you could use with different tops), the dimensions are 3 1/2" by 23". For a detached collar, you could simply close it with a hook and eye, attach ribbons (if ya like that sort of thing), or add I-cord strings to tie. I could see making a beaded version in a nice white yarn and using it to dress up a black top or dress."

Sue's Sweater

This was knit on size 50 needles (Speed Stix) using Moonlight Mohair yarn (Safari color) and Incredible ribbon yarn (Autumn color). The pattern is from Leisure Arts book 4165. This is the cover pattern. I am going to change the button configuration, but you get the idea from this photo.
