The scones! The tea! The coffee! The sunshine! The furniture! The rugs! The knitting! The dogs! The husband! What wasn't there at Kathleen's house this morning??!

This is the part where I feel like I'm taking roll so imagine me in a very school-teachery voice. No, on second thought please please don't do that. Just imagine that present (yes, I used that word on purpose) were Kathleen, Priscilla, Mary, Elizabeth, Cathy, Sue, and Susan. Not to mention Dave Meisinger, the onetime cross country state champ and now superb scrapbooker. (Is there any craft those Meisingers can't do?!)

Some of us were working on gifts, so we will keep those projects out of the public eye til later. Without a doubt, the highlight of the morning was Patty's amazing and very impressive shrug that she is knitting with her beloved size 50 needles. We are all looking forward to seeing Patty model it the next time we meet!

And speaking of the next time we meet . . . next Friday is the day after Thanksgiving so no knitting get-together on that day. The following Friday, December 5, we decided to take a knitting field trip to The Yarn House in Elm Grove. Cathy reports that they have a fantastic coffee shop, so don't worry, no one will be deprived of her daily intake of caffeine, sugar, or calories. (Phew.) We'll figure out the car-pooling as the time gets closer. We'll also meet on December 12 and 19, and Priscilla and Cathy have offered to host on those days. They will duke it out for who gets which date.

If you have any projects that you finish at home and want to post pictures or patterns, remember that you can do so as long as you registered as an author. You can also put that material in a comment and I can transfer it onto a post.

Happy Thanksgiving!
